What to watch before VisionQuest
Four entries carry Vision from the day he is built to the blank copy this series picks up.

VisionQuest follows White Vision, the blank copy left standing at the end of WandaVision. To follow it you need to know who Vision was, how he died, and what got rebuilt out of him.
That is four entries, and one of them does most of the work.

Where Vision comes from
Vision is assembled in Avengers: Age of Ultron out of the body Ultron intended for himself, the remains of Stark’s JARVIS, and the Mind Stone set in his forehead. Everything about him afterwards traces back to those three parts.
Captain America: Civil War is where he stops being a curiosity and becomes someone with a position to defend, and it is where he and Wanda begin. It is the least essential of the four and the easiest to skip if you are short of time.
He dies twice, in one sequence
In Avengers: Infinity War Wanda destroys the Mind Stone to keep it from Thanos, which kills Vision. Thanos then reverses time and tears the stone out of his head anyway. The doubling matters, because it is the reason there is a body left to rebuild.
He is not in Avengers: Endgame at all. It is the one enormous film in this stretch you can skip outright if Vision is all you are here for.
Where White Vision comes from
WandaVision is the one that is genuinely required. S.W.O.R.D. rebuilds the original body as a blank white copy, the two Visions meet, and the rebuilt one leaves with his memories returned and nothing else. That is the character the series opens on.
Nine episodes, most of them short. It is also the best thing in the catch-up on its own terms.
If you only watch one thing
Watch WandaVision. It is the direct predecessor and it explains enough of the rest to carry you. Age of Ultron is worth the two hours after that, since it is where both the body and the stone arrive.
Common questions
Do I need to watch WandaVision before VisionQuest?
Yes. White Vision is created in its finale and the series continues directly from where that leaves him.
Do I need to watch Avengers: Endgame first?
Not for this. Vision does not appear in it, so it is the one major film in the run you can skip.
Is Agatha All Along part of the catch-up?
No. It follows Agatha Harkness and Billy Maximoff rather than Vision, and nothing in it sets this up.
How long is the catch-up?
Two films at around two and a half hours each, one at a little under, and nine episodes of WandaVision.
