What this site is
watchinorder.in publishes viewing orders for film and television franchises, together with written guides explaining them.
It hosts no video, links to no stream and provides no way to watch anything. It is a reference work about films, not a source of them.
The orders are opinions
Release order is a fact. Almost nothing else here is.
In-universe chronology is a judgement, and for several franchises a contested one. where a title sits depends on decisions about time travel, flashbacks and material the studios themselves have never settled. Where an order is genuinely disputed, the page says so.
The essential and skippable marks are editorial opinion. They answer one question, whether skipping something will stop the next film making sense, and reasonable people disagree with individual calls. They are not a statement about quality, and several excellent films are marked skippable.
Accuracy
Runtimes, release dates and scene counts are checked against published sources when they are entered, and a note appears where something is unverified rather than a number being invented. Release dates for unreleased films move constantly and will sometimes be out of date here. Nothing on this site should be relied on for anything that matters. It is a guide to what to watch on a Tuesday.

Trademarks and copyright
This site is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Marvel, DC, Disney, Warner Bros., Lucasfilm, Universal, Paramount, Sony, Netflix or any other studio or rights holder named on it.
Film titles, series titles, character names and franchise names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used here for identification and commentary. No artwork, stills, posters or footage are reproduced anywhere on this site, and that is a deliberate design decision as much as a legal one.
The written material (the guides, the blurbs, the explainers, the collections and the curation of the orders themselves) is the site’s own work. Quote it with attribution; do not republish it wholesale.
Your saved progress
Watch progress lives in your browser and nowhere else, and we hold no copy of it, so if you lose it, we cannot restore it. Clearing your browser data will delete it permanently. You can save it to a file from your list and keep that copy yourself, which is the only backup that exists. See the privacy notice for what that means in practice.
Advertising
This site has applied to carry advertising and carries none yet. When it does, ads will be selected and served by third parties rather than by us, and their presence is not an endorsement. We will not control what is advertised, and we are not responsible for an advertiser’s claims or for what happens on the sites they link to.
Nothing here is placed, ordered or recommended because someone paid for it. What to watch, in what order and what to skip are editorial judgements and are not for sale. Advertising does not change that. If it ever does change it will be labelled on the page itself, not only in this document.
What advertising will mean for cookies and for your data is set out in the privacy notice, in advance of it starting.
Availability
The site is provided as it is, without any warranty. It may be unavailable, it may contain errors, and it may change or disappear without notice. Use of it is at your own discretion.
