Can you skip Black Widow?
Yes, on a first watch. It is self-contained, and nothing in the main MCU story depends on it. What it does leave behind is one scene during the credits. In chronological order, reaching it takes about 25h 47m of essential viewing across 12 titles. Show only the MCU essentials.
Skippable, and it arrived too late to matter. It is set between Civil War and Infinity War, about a character who had already died in Endgame two years before this was released, and the audience therefore knows she survives everything in it.
What it is for, in practice, is introducing Yelena Belova, who recurs in Hawkeye and leads Thunderbolts. Florence Pugh is the best thing in the film by a distance and the vest joke is the funniest line in Phase Four.
The family material works. Four Russian operatives who posed as a family in Ohio for three years are reunited and have to work out how much of it was real, and the dinner-table scene where they argue about it is the most interesting idea here. David Harbour's Red Guardian, a washed-up super-soldier who will not stop telling a story about Captain America, is a good joke.
The plot around it is a generic spy film with an evil facility, a mind-control device and a masked opponent whose reveal lands flat. The weightless freefall finale is the Marvel third act at its most anonymous. Watch it for Pugh.
