Can you skip Spider-Man: Far From Home?

No. It carries part of the main MCU throughline, and what comes after it assumes you have seen it. The next essential title is Spider-Man: No Way Home. In chronological order, reaching it takes about 41h 58m of essential viewing across 22 titles. See the full MCU order.

Essential as the epilogue to the Infinity Saga, and it is the film with the hardest job on this page: following Endgame with a school trip. Watch Endgame first, since the whole thing is about the absence it left and the first ten minutes are a memorial.

The premise is grief dressed as comedy. Peter wants to go on holiday, tell a girl how he feels, and not be a superhero for two weeks, and the film keeps interrupting him with a man insisting he take up a dead mentor's responsibilities. The emotional argument, that a sixteen-year-old is being handed something nobody should hand him, is better than the plot around it.

Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio is the best use the franchise has made of its own back catalogue. The reveal is that the illusions are drone projections built by people Tony Stark humiliated or dismissed across a decade of films, and the briefing scene where a room of disgruntled former employees explains their grievances is very funny. The illusion sequence that follows is the most visually inventive thing in Phase Three.

The European setting is pleasant and underused, and the Elementals are deliberately disposable. The mid-credits scene changes Peter's life permanently and sets up No Way Home.
