Skippable, and it is the most formally playful thing Marvel has made. The protagonist talks to the camera continually, comments on the structure of her own series, and in the final episode walks out of the show and into the offices of the people writing it, which is lifted directly from the comics and is the best joke in Marvel's television.
The format is a half-hour legal comedy, not a superhero show, and the misunderstanding of that is behind most of the complaints. Episodes are about a client, a dating app, a workplace rival, and the specific indignity of being a competent lawyer who is only hired because she is green. Tatiana Maslany is very good.
The series is also about harassment in a way the franchise had not attempted, with a plot about a forum of men dedicated to discrediting her, which drew a reaction from parts of the audience that rather made the point.
The weaknesses are real: the digital rendering of the lead was criticised throughout and is inconsistent, several episodes are slight, and the Abomination material is a long setup for a joke. Nothing requires it. Daredevil appears for two episodes and is the best version of that character before Born Again.
