Can you skip Wonder Man?

Yes, on a first watch. It is self-contained, and nothing in the main MCU story depends on it. Come back to it later if you want more. In chronological order, reaching it takes about 61h 48m of essential viewing across 38 titles. Show only the MCU essentials.

Skippable, and it is the least superhero-shaped thing Marvel has made. Eight half-hours about a struggling actor auditioning for a part in a comic-book reboot, structured as a Hollywood industry comedy, with the fantastical elements kept almost entirely at the edges.

The register is closer to a cable half-hour drama than to a Disney+ event, with long scenes of people reading sides in waiting rooms, agents managing expectations, and a protagonist whose actual problem is that he is not very good at auditioning. That is a brave thing to build a franchise series around and it is why the reception split.

Ben Kingsley returns as Trevor Slattery, the actor from Iron Man 3 and Shang-Chi, and the show gets a great deal out of pairing a man who accidentally became a supervillain with a man who desperately wants to be hired as one. Their scenes are the best in it.

The connective tissue to the wider franchise is light, which is the point and also means nothing depends on it. Watch it if the premise sounds appealing rather than because a slate says so.
