Can you skip Eyes of Wakanda?
Yes, on a first watch. It is self-contained, and nothing in the main MCU story depends on it. Come back to it later if you want more. Show only the MCU essentials.
Skippable, and it is the earliest thing in the chronology on this page, which makes it another argument against starting there. Four animated half-hours spanning centuries, each following a different Wakandan agent recovering stolen vibranium, with no recurring protagonist and no connection to the modern films.
The anthology structure is the appeal. One episode is set in Bronze Age Greece, another in Ming-era China, and each is a self-contained adventure with a different visual palette and a different genre. At roughly two hours in total it asks very little.
What it does well is the idea the films only gestured at: that Wakanda's isolation was an active policy enforced by people sent out to maintain it, often violently, and that the artefacts in European and American collections were taken. The series treats recovery as the job rather than as a speech.
The animation is stylised and inexpensive, and the writing is thin in places. Nothing references it. Worth two hours if the premise appeals and entirely skippable otherwise.
